Learn All About the Emmitt Smith Rookie Cards

Emmit Smith is considered one of the greatest running backs in NFL history. Smith ended his career as the all-time leader for rushing yards and rushing touchdowns.

His rookie and early cards are very sought after and some are valuable while others are not. Let's take a look at some of these vintage Emmitt Smith cards:

1990 Score Supplemental

Card #101T

This Emmitt Smith card is from an extended set that was released after the 1990 Score set.  It is considered a rookie card.

The 1990 Score Supplemental Football set was released as an add-on to the 665-card base set. It is the most valuable of the Emmitt Smith rookie cards. 

1988 Burger King

Card #2

Burger King issued a regional set of Florida Gators cards. It is considered a pre-rookie.

This card is from a 16-card set that was made when Smith was a sophomore in college. This card is rare and valuable in high-grade conditions. 

1990 Topps Traded

This Emmitt Smith card is from an extended set that was released after the 1990 Topps set. It is considered a rookie card.

This is the Topps Traded Emmitt Smith rookie card (#27T) that appeared in the 132-card Traded set. There were a lot of these made so it isn't nearly as valuable as the Score card.

1990 Action Packed

This is a 3D card from a set that was made during this period. It is considered a rookie card.

The 1990 Action Packed Emmitt Smith #34 card is a unique card from the 281-card set.  The border and the player on these cards were raised to create the appearance of depth.
